Product Spotlight: Modular Cleanrooms Makes the Grade for Hollister Chemical Co.

The recently completed Class 100 Modular Cleanroom system was designed to sit atop a sloped grade by lifting the modular cleanroom system onto a 6" high concrete curb around the entire perimeter. This allowed the floor drain to remain centered beneath the room below the drum filling station. Raised access flooring was put in place for the pluming/piping lines to run underneath. The high-tech conveyor line runs down the center of the custom cleanroom "flush" to the finished floor height - making it easy for transfer of the large drum barrels. The high speed cleanroom auto doors were designed with motion sensors to allow drums to move in and out without minimal personnel involvement. This room certified better than Class 100 and was on time and under budget! Next time you have a challenging application - call the cleanroom experts at CleanAir Solutions, Inc.

The Ins and Outs of Cleanroom Filters

Contamination control depends on reliable cleanroom filters and how they work. A malfunctioning filter can introduce contaminants into a controlled environment. Air filters need to remove impurities from the process stream but avoid transferring impurities that could wind up on a device’s or product’s surface. The filters themselves must be manufactured and packaged in a controlled environment.

The Art of Contamination Controls

It took Dr. Joseph Lister a while to convince physicians that something invisible had to be protected against, but since the concept took hold, cleanliness has been a major concern in life sciences. Now there are numerous standards defining “clean” in hospitals, pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech labs, and other life sciences areas, plus numerous cleanroom cleaning procedures for meeting those standards.
